The Many Uses of Nail Polish

We are often attracted to various bottles of nail polish which are displayed on the spinning nail polish rack. When people look at these bottles, they get pictures of beautiful nails. What most people do not know is that nail polish can be used for a variety of things, things which are not related to your nails. Let us get to know the other uses of nail polish.

Keeping belt buckles in top form. There are times when out belt buckles do not look too fine, especially if they have been left hanging and unused for a very long time. To restore them back to their original condition all you need to do is apply a coat of nail polish to prevent oxidation.

Securing buttons. Isn’t it annoying when the buttons on out shirts and pants start to get undone? Sometimes the thread that holds them to the garment get cut accidentally. What you can do to prevent this from happening is to apply a light coat of nail polish on them. This will prevent the threads from becoming undone.

Sealing envelopes. What people most of the time when they have a letter is to lick the flap of the envelope. Not only is this unsanitary, it is also not great to look at. What you can do instead is just to put a dab on nail polish and the flap will stay closed.

Keeping jewelry in top form. Costume jewelry may be cheaper than gold and silver pieces but they still need to be taken cared of. They are still investments. In order to keep your jewelry looking nice and glossy, just apply a thick layer of nail polish with the same color as your jewelry.

Fixing window screens. Accidents happen no matter how careful we try to be. When your windows screen has a tear, what you can do to keep it from worsening is to get a bottle of nail polish from your nail polish racks and apply it where you see the tear.
