Sleep Longer and with Less Irritation

One of the most annoying things that can happen to a person in a given night is to be woken up by their partner because they are snoring too loudly. I don’t know about you but this was something that happened to me many times before I took an interest in how to stop snoring. Over the past few years I have done various levels of research in to how and why people snore, as well as some of the more natural ways you can go about making it stop. I am not a fan of doctors of medicine so I knew I wanted to do this on my own, and this is what I found.

For starters, snoring is caused when there is a constriction in the airway of the throat. This can be caused by a variety of things, but the most common one is obesity. For me this rang true on many levels as I had been snoring for quite some time before taking a stand, and finally losing the weight. This will be the most difficult process of stopping yourself from snoring, but I can assure you that not only will you feel like a new person, it will help you sleep better as well. In addition to the weight loss I made sure that I slept on my side at night, avoided alcohol and big meals 2 hours prior to bed, and kept my mouth moist during the night by drinking some gatorade before bed.

It may sound like I did a lot more than just lose weight, but I can assure you that if you are able to lose weight, it will open up your airways to help you breathe and sleep better. I can’t tell you how often I now get compliments about my new figure, and I owe it all, oddly enough, to my snoring problems.
